FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I live or work in the stadium area but not on a street that is “local traffic only”. Can I get a pass?

The program does not provide general access to the stadium area. To be eligible for a Local Traffic Access Pass, you must:

  • Live on or work for a business/organization on a “local traffic only” street near the stadium, and
  • Have access to a private off-street parking space for your vehicle.
Can I apply for a pass if I’m not in an eligible group but have private off-street parking in the stadium area?

While the program doesn’t provide general access to the stadium area, staff will review requests from other user groups on a case-by-case basis. Please fill in the Local Access Traffic Pass Request Form and provide additional information.

How are servicing and deliveries affected?

To help manage traffic in the area, parking and stopping on "local traffic only" streets will not be permitted on match days. This includes curbside deliveries and loading, as curbside lanes may be used for traffic flow and emergency access.

Please plan for a full day of road closures, including restricted access on "local traffic only” streets, on match days:

  • Deliveries by foot or by bicycle can continue as usual.
  • We recommend rescheduling any servicing and deliveries that require vehicle access to non-match days.
What about floods and other urgent issues in my building?

Companies that need vehicle access for urgent and unexpected work (such as flooding response, elevator repair or graffiti removal) can show their company identification at traffic checkpoints.

Parking and stopping on "local traffic only" streets, including curbside deliveries and loading, will not be permitted on match days. Service providers must have access to private off-street parking.

What about emergencies or medical needs?

Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance, will have full access to all affected roads at all times.

Healthcare professionals, including pharmacy staff and other healthcare workers, will have vehicle access to “local traffic only” streets with company identification.

What if I didn’t get a Local Traffic Access Pass in the mail?

One pass will be mailed to all residential addresses on “local traffic only” streets in the stadium area, arriving by May 20. Other eligible groups need to request passes online.

For online requests:

  • Passes sent by mail typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days.
  • If you have not received a pass after 7 business days from the date of your request, please email fwc26localtrafficpass@vancouver.ca.
What does it mean that the passes are transferable?

A Local Traffic Access Pass can be transferred between vehicles, family members or company staff. Passes do not have a monetary value and cannot be sold.

What if I lose my Local Traffic Access Pass?

If you lose your pass, please fill in the Local Access Traffic Pass Request Form. You may be prompted to provide additional information and can let staff know that you lost your pass. After June 5, we encourage you to pick up your pass in person to ensure you get it in time for a match day.
