BC Place Vancouver

Since opening in 1983, BC Place Vancouver remains a stunning feat of architecture situated in the heart of the city’s business and entertainment district.

The region’s premiere event destination, BC Place Vancouver has held hundreds of sporting events, including the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™. A frequent host to Canada’s national team, the stadium holds the record for the largest attendance for any national team event in Canada, for any sport, on both the women’s and men’s side.

BC Place Vancouver is also home to Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) and the BC Lions (CFL).

From rock legends and global superstars, to edge-of-your-seat sporting events, BC Place Vancouver has hosted thousands of events to more than 36 million people and counting since opening in 1983. Concerts by Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Jay Z & Beyoncé, Coldplay, U2, Guns N’ Roses, and many more artists have brought the house down over the years.

BC Place Vancouver is also home to classic moments like the electric FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015™ final, multiple CFL Grey Cup Championships, and the stunning Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

We are honoured to welcome local residents and guests to FIFA World Cup 26™ Vancouver on the shared ancestral and unceded territories of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We have stewarded these lands and waters since time immemorial.  
 
Together we are proud to have partnered with the Province of B.C. and the City of Vancouver in hosting this historic tournament. We recognize the unique opportunity to share our histories and cultures with the world and generate legacies for the next seven generations in our communities, all the while celebrating the spirit of the beautiful game.

We acknowledge this land is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).
