I live or work in the area. How will the event impact me?
  • From mid-May through the end of July, Pacific Blvd will be closed between the Cambie St Bridge off-ramp and Carrall St to expand the stadium footprint and ensure public safety.
  • On the seven match days, there will be additional temporary road closures and restrictions in the stadium-area. Please refer to the road closure maps for more information.
  • TransLink is enhancing transit across Metro Vancouver with more frequent buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express service, to keep people moving efficiently.
  • Walking and wheeling access will generally be maintained with some exceptions. The seawall will remain open throughout this time. Where required, signed detours will be provided.
  • We encourage everyone to plan ahead, allow extra travel time during this period, and take advantage of added transit or the walkable downtown.
Will transit service including HandyDart be increased?
  • Vancouver will see significant surges in travel demand over a concentrated four-week period, with match days bringing the highest volumes. To meet this demand, TransLink will deliver major service increases across bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and the West Coast Express, supported by more frontline staff to manage crowds, support safety, and keep people moving efficiently.
  • During the tournament, HandyDART will have designated pick-up and drop-off locations to support seamless HandyDART travel during the tournament.

Will businesses need to close?
  • No, businesses can remain open. However, some access restrictions may apply on matchdays.
  • We recommend scheduling deliveries on non-match days whenever possible. If you have essential deliveries on match days that cannot be rescheduled, our traffic management team will do their best to accommodate it, but alternative loading arrangements may be required.
